Research Profile
Jan Jathe has been a research assistant at the Chair of Political Science, specializing in comparative analysis of political systems, since April 2022. From August 2022 to September 2024, he also worked on the research project “The Transformation of Government Intervention in the Economy in Advanced Democracies,” which examined changes in government intervention in the economy in OECD countries. Previously, he studied political science (M.A.) at the University of Bremen and politics and economics (B.A.) at the University of Münster.
His research interests include comparative policy research, parties and state activity, political economy, and infrastructure policy.
He regularly teaches bachelor's and master's seminars in the areas of policy analysis, the German political system, and quantitative empirical methods.
