Research Profile
Clara Peckelhoff studied Political Science, Public Law and Slavic and Eastern European Studies at Heidelberg University and University of Oslo and graduated with a Master of Arts in March 2024. She has been a research associate at the IPW since October 2024 and a doctoral candidate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Croissant since April 2025.
Her research interests lie in the field of (quantitative) peace and conflict studies. She is particularly interested in protest movements, state repression, autocratization and democratization as well as the role of gender in conflict and transformation contexts. In her doctoral project, she is investigating the interplay between gender and protest dynamics. In particular, she is analyzing how gender-specific dynamics affect the intensity, participation and escalation of protests.
